COMMUNITY OUTREACH: EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH
Stateline No. 7 Architects has promoted the field of Architecture through educational contributions:
  • CY Junior High and Dean Morgan Junior High School Collaboration - Continue to participate in annual career days, job shadows, and educational opportunities to expose students to the architectural field at very early ages.
  • Stateline No. 7 Architects High School and College Level Internships - Provide paid summer internships for students to engage in meaningful architectural work for career development.
  • Kelly Walsh High School Collaboration - Provide presentation and tour of the firm office/loft each semester for KWHS interior design classes since 2012 to expose students to architecture, interior design, and the building professions.
  • Wyoming Planning Association Conference Presenter - Provide presentation on "urban redevelopment" in the downtown core to assist in spreading awareness to the planning community of challenges faced in the rural mountain west communities.
  • Wyoming Business Council Wyoming Main Street Panel - Participate in board panel discussion of historic grant application process and how to administer for varying projects across the state.
  • Wyoming Business Council Wyoming Main Street Presenter - Provide presentation on "repurpose urban living" to assist in spreading awareness of the challenges to redeveloping structures within the urban core.
  • Old Stoney Art Auction - Guest speaker on the importance of historic preservation at the yearly non-profit fundraiser.
  • City of Casper Community Development Forum Presenter - Guest speaker on the design and development of the Casper State Office project.
  • Casper College OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institution) Presenter - Guest speaker on the design and development of the Wyoming State Office project.

 

  • AIA Wyoming Conference Presenter - Provide presentation and tour of David Street Station downtown redevelopment and outdoor events-driven plaza project and Wyoming State Office Building project for health, safety, and welfare continuing education credits for the membership. Provide Tour of T Square and Art 321 projects.
  • University of Wyoming Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering: Case Study of T Square Building - Collaborated with UW Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering to allow students to study the firms' repurposed office building and other projects in the downtown core.
  • City of Casper Public Broadcasting Documentary - Collaborated with the City to produce a documentary entitled "Preservation: Casper" featuring the firms' repurposed office building and other projects in the downtown core.
  • City of Casper Public Broadcasting Documentary - Collaborated with the City and the Downtown Development Authority to produce a documentary entitled "Casper Spotlight: The Downtown Development Authority" featuring the firms' design for Wyoming's first downtown events-driven plaza project.
  • Architectural Registration Exam (ARE) Preparedness - Hosted statewide ARE structural preparedness examination course to assist intern architects in passing their registration examinations.
  • Wyoming Arts Council - Contributed interview for documentary on ART 321's nomination for the 2017 Wyoming Governors Arts Awards, highlighting the architecture.
  • State of Wyoming Teachers Association Presenter - Speaker and tour guide on repurposing historic buildings (T Square) and donation of firm book to school libraries across the state.
  • David Street Station - Led a public charrette for the outdoor events-driven plaza.
